FAQs
What is included with the system?
The core system includes one WT5100 51.2V 100Ah rack battery and one 3.6kW inverter in its verified 48V battery-input configuration. Shelf, rack, cables, protection devices and other installation accessories must match the final system design.
How much energy and power does it provide?
The WT5100 provides 5.12kWh of nominal storage. The inverter provides up to 3.6kW of 120V output for a properly configured essential-load system.
What household loads can the system support?
The system can support selected 120V essentials such as refrigeration, lights, Wi-Fi equipment, a compatible gas furnace blower and a small pump. Running power and starting surge must remain within inverter limits.
Can it power 240V appliances?
No. This is a 120V essential-load system and must not be connected to Level 2 EV charging, electric ranges, dryers, central 240V HVAC systems or other 240V loads.
How long can the battery provide backup power?
Planning estimates range from approximately 12.4–14.0 hours at a 0.3kW base load to 2.5–2.8 hours at a 1.5kW mixed load. Actual runtime varies with load, reserve settings, efficiency, temperature and operating conditions.
How much solar input does the inverter support?
The verified 48V inverter configuration supports up to 4.5kW of PV input, a 90–260V MPPT operating range and a 300V maximum PV open-circuit voltage. Actual charging depends on array design, weather, orientation and active loads.
Can the WT5100 use the 24V inverter version?
No. The WT5100 is a 51.2V battery and must use the inverter's verified 48V battery-input configuration. Confirm the battery-input rating on the inverter nameplate before wiring or commissioning.
Does the battery include BMS protection?
Yes. The integrated BMS monitors voltage, current, temperature and cell balance while providing overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent and short-circuit protection. CAN and RS485 communication are supported.
Is professional installation required?
Yes. The 101.4 lb IP22 battery requires a supported shelf or rack in a dry location, while the wall-mounted inverter requires suitable support and ventilation clearance. The battery includes a 10-year limited warranty and the inverter includes a 5-year limited warranty; terms apply.
